PORTRAITS BY ANDRES

I am a professional painter, currently living and working out of my studio in NYC, with over 15 years of experience in visual design and more than five years working as a large-scale mural artist in the advertising industry. Portrait painting allows me to work at a more intimate scale, focusing on subtle expression, color relationships, and the character that emerges through brushwork. Each commission is painted by hand in oil on canvas using traditional materials and techniques. My approach is painterly rather than photographic. I aim to capture presence and personality, not just surface detail. Every portrait is created with careful attention, clear communication throughout the process, and a commitment to producing a lasting piece of fine art rather than a disposable image.
